Is It Worth It?

The U.S. Bank Shopper Cash Rewards™ Visa Signature® Card is a good option for people who frequently shop at the eligible retailers and can maximize the customizable rewards structure. However, the annual fee and spending caps are important factors to consider before applying.

Here’s the math: If you spend $1,500 each quarter combined in 2 retailers from the list, you would get : $1,500 x 6% = $90 cash back

If you can spend $1,500 in all 4 quarters, you would get $360 cash back.

That by itself covers well beyond the annual fee.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

 * The 6% cash back rate is only available on the first $1,500 in combined purchases at your two chosen retailers each quarter.

 * You need to enroll in the 6% and 3% cash back categories each quarter.

** The card has a variable APR of 19.74% to 29.74%.

If you’re a frequent shopper at the eligible retailers and can take advantage of the high rewards rate, the U.S. Bank Shopper Cash Rewards™ Visa Signature® Card is a good option. However, if you don’t spend a lot at those retailers or if you’re looking for a card with an intro APR, there may be better options available.

My personal experience: I have earned $800 cash back in past 2 years including the intro bonus and paid $95 in annual fees.
